- Who said exercise has to be monotonous and boring? I’ll show you new moves to combine with the traditional ones, and work with you to find creative ways to make them fun. First, we’ll talk, so that I’ll have a good picture of where you’ve been, and where you want to go. We’ll discuss how often you’d like to work, and for how long; there are no rules. I need you to like the program enough that you’ll want to do it.

- I have enough experience to know to proceed with caution with new activities. I focus on excellent posture and perfect technique, and always, a warm up. Safety is my priority. It just doesn’t make sense to risk injury when what you are trying to do is get healthy!
- Because I specialize in beginners, and people who are physically and/or mentally challenged.
- Don’t worry if you’ve never lifted a finger. Or if one or a gazillion of your body parts hurts, or doesn’t work at all. We’ll work around your illnesses and injuries. I have experience with diabetes, Crohn’s disease, fibromyalgia, polio, stroke, fractures, and pre/post hip or knee replacement surgery. I am partnered with a physiotherapist, whom I consult on a daily basis.

- I have been training with weights for more than 10 years. My certification is with the Canadian Association of Fitness Professionals (CanFitPro), which means I’ve studied in the classroom and in the gym. Many Personal Trainers have had no practical training whatsoever; they learned from manuals only. CanFitPro Trainers, in addition to completing a written and oral exam, are graded by performing an entire session with a beginner. I achieved 97% on my Practical exam.

- I attend regular intensive fitness conferences, read industry publications, and take CPR every single year.

- I am so safety conscious, we’ll never need it, but it’s nice to know it’s there.
